India has seen 14 full time Prime Ministers after their independence; some of them work quietly for the country with tough decisions, but some of them have made tough decisions for the country, and this list is created on the basis of this.
5. Narendra Modi
Narendra Modi is another non-Congress leader who is close in completing 5 years of his tenure and is the first non-BJP leader who has got a full majority to form the government at the Center. He served as Chief Minister of Gujarat for more than 15 years, but unfortunately during his tenure, India saw Gujarat Godhra riots. But after becoming the Prime Minister, he took strong decisions such as demonetization and GST, and he is also trying to create a good relationship globally.
4. Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Vajpayee was the first non-Congress PM to complete his term, which earned an important historical name in Indian politics. His failure to do anything in the form of Gujarat has negative marks against him. But everyone will remember the victory of the Vajpayee Kargil war, and they had put India ahead in the form of a nuclear power.
3. Rajiv Gandhi

Rajiv Gandhi was the first leader who had dreamed of taking India in the 21st Century. His contribution in the field of IT and communication revolution in the country was remarkable, but sadly, he has not got the credit for which he has the eligibility. He has made many worthy initiatives like open market for Panchayati Raj, four wheeler factories, computer and economic liberalization. His tragic initial death surprised many people how this could happen.
2. Jawaharlal Nehru

Due to the decision of Jawaharlal Nehru, India had suffered heavy losses on Kashmir. But the fact is that he had done a great deal about today's India, like the world-class institute of higher education, our space program and the widespread use of English which gives India the competitive advantage in the globalized world.
1. Indira Gandhi

Indira Gandhi imposed emergency in the country, and there was no doubt that it was definitely misuse of this power. But on the other hand she had done many good things for the country, in which she took the first nuclear test of India, the Indo-Pak war and the creation of Bangladesh, the poverty eradication plan, the nationalization of banks and many other many other strong steps. Even Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji has told that Indira Gandhi was the Iron Lady of India. A few years ago, in a survey conducted by a leading Indian magazine, she was rated as the best prime minister of India. So I think Indira Gandhi deserves the title of our best Prime Minister.
